Surabaya has changed so much these days…… 

And I guess it deserves the title of being Indonesia’s 2nd largest city.

The trip to Samosir Island

It all started with a simple conversation with my buddy herbert, having an idea to travel to the largest freshwater lake in Indonesia.

 

Belawan in monochrome

I’ve travelled to some places lately.
Starting with belawan, it’s a sea port in north sumatra where all the fishermen try to make a living. 

Nice place, friendly people, scenic view, and a camera in my hand. 
I suddenly feel the urge to see things in Black an white, so I set my camera to B/W.

So there it goes…….. 

 

See that gas station in the middle of the shore, it’s for real. >.<

The kids couldn’t stop bragging me to take their photos with countless poses they try to offer me, I couldn’t help it but to capture those purity of a child written on their faces. Reminds me of childhood times, when things seem to be so simple.

John & Lissiana

It’s been a while since my last pre wedding session, but this is actually not a pre wedding since they are already married last december. >.< 

It’s also the longest session for outdoor shoot I’ve ever done. it was split into 2 days in 3 different location! I was very much concern about this session since Lissiana wants the image to be done in a particular way while in the fact we are short of the proper dress to shoot.

However, the images turn out to be beautiful, better than my expectation. You guyz did great!

Chinatown walkaround

I keep on finding my way back to my love for street photography. Waking up early in the morning, wandering around the street just to get a series of lovely photos is something that motivates me. I often feel that a good street photos is the one that makes you feel that street ambience when you look at it. It just like you were right there just by looking at it. 

Another thing, I’ve just watched the keynote by steve jobs on the iphone 3G. It’s hard to believe that actually steve has decided to makes the iphone so affordable at just $199! And the best thing that it will be launched in Singapore as well! Can’t wait! >.<

A little glimpse of landscape in Singapore

 

It’s been a while. Finished my exam.

Well, yeah I’ve always wanted to finish those bloody exam quickly. But at the same time It gives me a pretty weird feeling knowing the fact that I don’t have to deal with school stuff anymore. I’m clueless yet confused. 

Woke up early at 5 am. Head to the north of Singapore to preserve some sunrise goodness that actually never shows up. Well, let the photos do the talking.

Shot a really lovely couples on last weekend, Aloysius & Sharon.

It was raining heavily so we have to go for plan B, looking for something indoor and nice and end up going to national museum and continue to clarke when the rain stops. Even though we got ourselves indoor but we can’t resist the idea of shooting in the rain. Everything was pretty much impromptu and I hope I did some justice with my pictures to represent their love stories.

They are a very friendly couple and I had some great time shooting their actual day even though i was a bit sleepy because lack of sleep the night before. Took off from home at 5.15 am in the morning and shooting all the way til 5pm.
